The benefits of connecting with yourself + nature

Ever since I’ve been in tuned with myself, things has been a little different. I’ve been connecting with myself & nature. And the benefits of it is amazing, no matter what I go through. Once I mastered on how to focus on myself and to connect with nature, I always notice a drastic change in my life. Some people are shocked on how they see such a different Seqouia, or even how I react to situations now.

I can literally write a book of all the things I have & currently still going through. But it’s no need for a pity party. My #1 goal is (getting through it) we will run through so many obstacles in our lives especially women, because we have it the hardest mentally & physically. So I always kept that in mind.

But the big question is, what is the benefits of connecting with nature?

*Increases creativity

*Keeps emotions in control

*Steady stability

*Improves memory

*Increases gratitude

*Enjoying being out doors

It’s so many ways you can connect with nature such as:

*Taking a walk

*Relaxing by trees (getting that good ole oxygen)

*Find outdoor activities to do in the sun (like painting at the park)

*Meditate outdoors

*Have outdoor drinks (Wine, tea, or coffee)

All these might seem a little cringe, but sometimes the simplest things can be a life changer.

It’s a true fact that our body is supposed to have contact with the earth as much as possible. Mother nature is what keeps us going. We can still do things the natural way. Although humans are spoiled because all the things that were created to make life easier for us.

It’s always room to [ restore – refresh – renew ]

So there you have it. Those are some of the ways you can get outside to ground & connect with nature. Using your creative ways to make space in your day to get outside and have a breather. It takes no time out your day to put yourself first. Your mental health is important. And it’s so many ways to make changes in your life for better.

3 Ways I calm my anxiety

If you personally know me, or have read my blogs in the past. Then you definitely know my history of having anxiety. First I was very discreet when it came to having anxiety. Why? I have no clue! But once I noticed that suffering from anxiety was basically the new “norm” because it’s so many others who suffer from it to. I became more comfortable with sharing my issues. I also had to realize that stress plays a big part of anxiety. Learning to identify what anxiety actually is, was very helpful for me.

Here are some things I love to do to help ease my mind or return to a sense of calm:

1. The most important thing to do when I am having a bad day or just feeling anxiety is to literally say in my mind or to silently to myself “This is totally normal. It is absolutely fine for me to be feeling this way or having these feelings. I just need to be light on myself today.” It is normal for emotions to flow naturally and embracing this makes you feel so good. Allowing yourself to feel it all and having empathy for yourself will get you through…

2. When I wake up and can tell right away that I am feeling anxious I will usually rearrange my day to be a tad bit more slow paced then usual. If I have anything important to do I try rescheduling for another day. Usually when I put everything on pause it instantly makes me feel more calm. And me being this way when it comes to not being able to make it somewhere due to personal issues makes me more understanding when someone has to cancel plans or reschedule on me, especially knowing it might make their day feel a lot easier.

3. Doing my hobbies before bed has been amazing and relaxing for my mind. I’m an big over thinker and at night my mind races with situations I’ve been through or wondering what others are thinking. Getting all cozy, making my kid’s snacks, reading a book, listening to a relaxing podcast, bullet journal, looking up business ideas, anything! It is so mindless and I have been able to have such fulfilling nights which leads to better sleep for me.

Now days self-love has been mentioned a lot more. But let’s admit that learning to love yourself is one of the most powerful and important things you can do in life. While it’s also important to love yourself, we tend to find that area of self-love a mental block. When you practice self-love, we cultivate a healthy personal bond with ourselves and become our own bestfriend.

Here are 4ways you can start practicing habits of choosing self-love:

ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR STRENGTHS

When was the last time have you acknowledged your strengths? When was was the last time have you looked at yourself in the mirror and said things you like about yourself? Make a list of those things, write it down, read it daily until it permanently sticks to your brain. Treat this list like it’s your own personal daily reminder.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEEDS

What are your needs? Write down a list of your needs and take action. Sometimes we are quick to help others with there needs and not put ours first. It’s ok, you just have a heart of gold. But it’s ok to take time out for yourself and start telling people no.

END THE HABIT OF HATING WHO YOU ARE

Remember confidence is key. You tearing yourself down is what’s stopping you from prospering. Have confidence in yourself in every aspect. Let’s work on loving the thought of who you are because no matter what there is no one in this world like you and that’s what makes you unique.

MAKE YOUR BODY HAPPY

When learning to love ourselves we focus plenty of time and attention on our bodies. And how we feel inside our bodies affects how we feel outside of our bodies. You definitely want your body to feel loved and not disconnected. So it’s very important that part of your self-love routine you do things that make you feel great internally.

Sometimes relationships can take a toll on you. Trust me i know. It has with me, and when i say it has broke me down to the point where ill cry everyday of the week, every night before bed, and it drove me to numerous headaches. So i definitely can relate to a lot of women out there who is suffering or suffered from heart break. And of course there will be people telling you “It’s going to be okay, don’t cry” “Forget him” “You deserve better”. Sometimes we don’t take there advice right away because we don’t feel it’s enough.

I remember i use to always say i’m done, and will wake up feeling so different and relieved, but deep down it’s this little piece of me that some how kept me thinking of him. That’s when i knew i wasn’t officially over him. And it’s a feeling that was there for so long that i didn’t even know how to get rid of it. That’s the most fucked up feeling ever!

When i realized that nothing wasn’t enough, I knew right then and there that i had to figure out how to get out, like “literally” “GET THE HELL OUT!”….

I’m sure there is a lot of other women out there that has these same feelings as me or had them. But what’s so cold is that, women now days don’t uplift or support one another any more. So many women are in competition and always want to tease other women for getting played or hurt. WHY?!…. I can’t even answer that but if you have the answer to it please let me know!

Honestly i can admit, that a lot of women in my generation is becoming more and more weak. It sounds mean, but i am just being honest. Women are selling their body, talking down on themselves, not knowing their worth, giving up on their careers, cutting off there friends & families, and doing so much all for MEN!. Now i am not speaking for every woman, but it is a lot of women that are doing this. It breaks my heart because men take advantage of this and sometimes we don’t see it because we are blinded by love, and that’s not even really love. We think we are in love, but we are really just trapped at the moment and can’t find our way out because we can’t see ourselves without them or don’t want no one else to have them. The world is pretty fucked! and everyday it is becoming worse.

But something has to be done. Women need to fight for there strength. It’s time to strive more harder to be stronger and to never experience the feeling of pain again. Yea… it sounds typical, and definitely sounds too good to be true. But how much longer are we going to continue to let men put us through heart break? How much longer will we continue to let men take our woman hood away, and our pride?

Some women like myself always thought revenge was the best route, and hurting them back. I realize that’s not worth it. You can make them hurt more in so many other ways then being cruel & revengeful.

Here are 6 tips that may can help you with beating heartbreak:

#1 FIND THE PROBLEM (Write it down)

Figure out why exactly you can’t get over that person. What is holding you back? Why do you feel you can’t let go? Write down these questions down and answer them. That will kind of get you an outlook on everything.

#2 PROS VS CONS

Write the good, and the bad. If their are more cons, then you should know what needs to be done. Every time the bad outweigh the good then it’s NO GOOD! That’s already a red light that your relationship is pretty much done.

#3 SILENCE

When you kill someone off with silence, that get to them more than anything. Sometimes you have to ignore your way out of the problem because once it’s already toxic, it is unrepairable. I’m not saying that some toxic relationships don’t change, but the ones that don’t change can not be FIXED! And a lot of people fail to realize that. You want to show someone better than you can tell them after all the months/years you been crying for there help, love, and sorrow? Go straight mute on that ass! 

#4 FIND HAPPINESS

Find what makes you happy. Sometimes you don’t realize what brings happiness to your life anymore because you focus more on making your significant other who isn’t making you happy at all. Experience new things, try things you have always wanted to do but haven’t. Stop holding back and see what’s out there besides an relationship that can fulfill your needs.

#5 TRY THERAPY

Therapy can possibly help. Sometimes you need someone to dig deep through the mind and can really tell you your problem. It’s a therapist job to heal your mind & soul, and help you look at life differently. I have tried therapy before, and i wish i never stopped. Definitely on my list to start back going again. I can tell you i am a lot more stronger now then i was in the past. So yes, it can help you.

#6 ONE LAST LETTER (Release all the pain)

This is another way i feel that is really helpful. You don’t want to physically talk to that person because if you do, either they will ignore you or cut you off? Well write they ass a letter! Sometimes writing can really ease the pain because you don’t have to worry about talking to that person and feel like your talking to casper. Men have away of making women feel (DUMB), and that get to us badly. What i mean is, men will ignore you, put on there earphones while you are talking to them, walk away, and so much other rude shit! So some way some how they have to see how you feel right? That’s why i said write it out, seal it up, and either mail it to them, or drop it off them. When your done writing your letter, go to a quiet place, and let it out! Cry, scream, shout, and just release all the negative & bad energy out your body/soul. Let that be your last!

Costa Rica

Hello loves! So I definitely decided to blog this trip because I have been to so many dope places and have not shared my traveling journey with you all! This time I am going to be more consistent with my travel journey. I felt to top it off Costa Rica 🇨🇷 will be a good adventure to get my travel blog started the right way!!

First off let me start off by telling you all where I am staying. I am staying at “Oxygen Jungle Villa”! Yes like literally staying in the jungle. This villa is absolutely stunning! I mean just breath taking. I have always imagined myself staying in the middle of the jungle smelling all the beautiful trees, and seeing exotic animals, with an exotic drink! Now look today I’m here making & filming memories. Here are pictures & a video of the Villa. I also will be adding the links just in case your interested.

The pool is absolutely beautiful 😍 …

The room is a glass villa. You can literally hear the monkeys, birds, etc. Just waking up to nature is absolutely beautiful 😍.

Here’s my welcome drink. This is exactly what it’s called. When I tell you this drink is yummy it is yummy! It’s made with fresh fruit, ginger and of course alcohol but you can’t taste no alcohol not one bit which tricks you in a way.

I went dune buggy riding and it was the most scary but satisfying experience. I literally was 8,000 feet in the mountains 🏔 filled with clouds. The sad part it clearly messed with my equilibrium and I end up catching a cold but thank god it wasn’t Covid!!! I would’ve been stuck! But further on, so I seen all types of animals, waterfalls, homes that some of the Costa Rican’s live in and more. All the greenery and everything was just so beautiful. I have never seen so much greenery up close never!

Now let’s get into the messages. I have never gotten a massage before so my first experience was amazing. She made sure she got every tense area on my body. I felt amazing! Like a new person. So if you ever visit this villa please make sure you go to there spa.

So if you like a good cocktail like myself. The bartenders are amazing! They make really good drinks, and the best part is having a good cocktail by the poolside with your legs kicked up :). This drink was actually one of my favorite it was a margarita style drink with spice. Jalapeño & ginger was added! Just delicious!

The breakfast is delicious. Egg, avocado, & bacon + fruit drink. Literally all their food & fruit is fresh 100%.

So to end it all I had a fantastic time. This was a very relaxing & eventful trip. I would definitely visit this country again especially the villa. How to practice mindful productivity

“You can do so much at once, but focusing on multiple things at once will not be effective.”

I’m sure you have lost focus on doing more than one task at once to the point where you find yourself not getting much done as you expected. Especially for those who are easily distracted.

Practicing mindful productivity means challenging your own self-knowledge to find the best out yourself.

To be mindfully productive means to focus on one task, and focusing on one task makes things less complicated. It’s times we be all over the place, so pace yourself and focus on just one. And remember this is just a simple practice so you will not change over night!

So let’s make a habit of practicing mindful productivity, here’s a few things you can do:

Listen to yourself

Stick with your intuition and take a break if you need one.$!

•Take baby steps

Don’t beat yourself down because you aren’t getting done in a timely manner. Your not perfect, no one is. Trying to become a perfectionist is going to interfere your productivity.

Work accordingly

Timing is definitely everything. Work at your natural rhythm and go with the flow.

Establish priorities

Have a list that contains all tasks in one.

Write a to-do-list

Break it down and be specific so you can be able to analyze your task.

Quit multitasking

Slow your roll, and stop doing more than one thing at once.

Let’s start living in the moment try to intentionally bring discerning attention to everything you create & do. Treat yourself & accept who you are! All these things I listed does help with mindful productivity. It’s all about positive energy and knowing what’s best for you.

Forgive yourself then Free yourself

Extremely thrilled to write about this topic. I know a lot of people including myself has or had a dark cloud over their shoulder because of something they fault themselves about. Especially when it’s something we have control of. What we don’t realize is that, it’s just a feeling though. A feeling that’s only temporary. Feelings can’t kill you, but running from them can.

We as humans visualize how things can be so much better then what we are currently going through, but not realizing how much power we have to make our visions come true. But when we doubt ourselves, we are lacking and not pushing towards prosperity. Anybody can prosper, it’s simple. But the mind is powerful and you have to compete with yourself, challenge yourself, and to become a better version of you. Our life is a balance and you just have to learn how to maintain it. Holding on to pain just makes you suffer.

Three words:

  • Free
  • Open
  • Balance

Once you forgive yourself. It’s time to free yourself. You can free yourself from anything that can hold you back. Like for me, I am freeing myself from negative energy, negative people, negative thoughts, disappointments, toxic locations, toxic people, lack of growth, and the list goes on. But what most people don’t realize is that we have more freedom then we think. You have to just open up your mind to new things, it’s always good to venture out.

Try writing down what bothers you, and writing down ways you fixed or ways you can fix those problems. Write down why you haven’t forgiven yourself, then write down how you forgiven yourself. This will give you clarity an will help you open up your mind to finding new ways to cope with what’s bothering you.

I always make sure I encourage people to write ✍️ whom reads my articles because writing definitely does help a lot. Especially if you don’t want to go to a psychiatrist or vent to anyone. Writing is a peace of mind. You can come to a conclusion with a lot of situations in your life.

The return of The Fobem

Welcome to 2021! Definitely probably the worse, terrifying, confusing, and overwhelming year for us all. As you see i haven’t posted an article for the new year, but that’s because i took time off to focus on my business, my child, and mentally getting my head together. Oh i am definitely back and better!

I am making this year my golden year. It’s time to start spicing my blog up a little more and bringing some juicy content to keep my blogger buds on track with me. My goal for my blogs this year is to keep winning, and getting my blogs out to the universe some more. A lot of times i get writers block and I truly dislike when that happens because it stops me from showing everyone my skills.

I finally decided to free myself 100% now. It’s time for me to open up to new things, meet new people, explore the world, build a better bond with my child, & lastly become a better version of myself. At times i wouldn’t know my worth or what i am capable of. I just know that i have a purpose everyday that i wake up, and i may can’t grasp what it exactly is, but i do know giving up is the least of my worries.

I tell myself everyday that i am beautiful, strong, & fearless. And that i am. So winning & making it my duty to prosper at anything that’s my profession is always going to be my main goal to achieve. Blogging keeps me grounded, it makes me feel like i can just be myself without getting anyones opinion. Energy plays a big part of my life. I don’t do well for too long when negative energy comes around me. I’m a firm believer when it to comes change & elevating. The 4 Healthy Habits that helps me when I’m unmotivated

Certain days I feel like I’m the best to do it. I set the tone of getting up & to it. I get up early doing all my routines, making me breakfast, going on my walks, staying on top of my hydration throughout the day. I straight out mark everything off my to-do-list & create new task for myself. I even feel social so ill contact my close ones & check up on them.

Other days I feel like completely crap, stale, lost of concentration.

It is completely normal to have bad days & good days. If you have more good days than bad, you are very much lucky! For myself, 2020 has been a tricky and rough year. So I can say things are up/down for me. I have an heavy amount of unmotivated days, and of course I try really hard to not down myself & tear myself down. But being a single parent and doing so many things on my own without much help can be a quite toll on my mental health. Journaling and personal self therapy had been something I have to normalize because I definitely can start to feel like garbage when I’m not too shabby about certain things. I remember those dark days when I use to prepare for my off days from work I would literally stay in bed. If you had days like that… then you know what’s up. Feeling too anxious or depressed to get out of bed can be tough to get out of. Especially when you on top of feeling guilty for not being as motivated as you know you should be. But I made a way to help rebuild my confidence & habits on days when I’m feeling thrown off.

Here are the four top healthy habits that I put together on my most unmotivated days:

TIDY UP MY LIVING SPACE

When I’m moody or just don’t want to really be bothered, the last thing I want to do is wash dishes, do laundry, or picking up stuff around my apartment. But 2020 I changed a lot of things around by cleaning up as I go, no matter what. And it makes total sense because growing up my grandma use to say (if you wash the dishes after you use them, you don’t have to worry about them piling up). For me I just dislike being surrounded by clutter and having the constant visual reminder that my life is an absolute mess at the moment, it definitely brings out my anxiety (lol).

MAKE A (REAL TO-DO-LIST)

I’m not talking about a list of things that need to be done as of today. And I can assure you all that even on my most productive days I do not fully complete my daily to do list. I’ll write down multiple things that “need to be done at some point,” then, I’ll make my priority top three. Those three things must be done by the end of the day and of course I still will start with the least first to help me ease in and to help me build my confidence up for the day. And by checking the important things off of my to-do list always gets me going.

STAY HYDRATED

Before I start my day, I always make sure I rehydrate. I fill up a big jug of alkaline water with cucumber & lemon. Can I tell you refreshing? :). Drinking any kind of water is one of the easiest things you can do for your health and sets the tone for a better day honestly. Being dehydrated and slouchy is definitely not the move!

DAILY WALKS

Going for a walk at least 20-30 mins a day isn’t going to hurt at all. If you aren’t really a fit person like myself sometimes it can be a little tiresome & hard to get going. But if you push yourself and make walking a consistent move in your daily lifestyle you will feel so much better. Or even just moving around the house. My main focus is improving my circulation and mobility to stay motivated and on a move at all times. Yes, of course we need to have days to just relax, but don’t make relaxation turn you into a couch potato.

12 Lifestyle habits to stay happy and healthy

Happy Thursday everyone. Today is a new beginning. Making better habits to stay healthy & happy is great for your mental health. I am not 100% healthy, but i am working towards it even when i slip up time to time. I always practice ways to nourish my mind, body, & soul, so i can feel relaxed and confident. We are heading to 2021 and instead of waiting until the new year lets make some new changes starting now. The more you work at this, the more you develop new skills & learn new rituals that will improve your well-being daily.

  1. Figure out what bothers you about you, and forgive yourself.
  2. Enjoy outdoors (if you don’t already).
  3. Listen to your body & put positive thoughts into your mind.
  4. Take a break from all social media accounts
  5. Make self-care a priority
  6. Daily exercises at least 20 minutes.
  7. Stop waiting for certain moments to make lifestyle changes.
  8. Drink smoothies.
  9. Eat real food more often.
  10. Do things you love to do.
  11. Recharge yourself mentally & physically every night by going to sleep at a decent hour. (Make it a routine)
  12. Stay balanced.
