8 SELF-CARE HABITS FOR THE MIND

As humans we have to cure our minds & focus on self-care first. We tend to focus more on what’s not important then what’s actually important.

Self-care is doing what needs to be done, and balancing all goals you want to achieve in life. Self-care also nourishes your spirit and pushes you to strive hard everyday.

If you don’t take care of yourself or to harsh on your body you will become overwhelmed. Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™ve pulled together 8 SELF-CARE HABITS FOR THE MIND for you!!

1. Take time off. Striving hard everyday is really important because the whole point is to achieve your goals, but sometimes it becomes tiring & a issue.

 

2. Find some quiet time.  Sometimes our lives are so busy we don’t never have time for peace and quiet.

 

3. Positive self-talk. Often times, you are your own worst critic.  That little voice at the back of your head can get real disgusting.

4. Get Bodywork. Our bodies store emotional tension in ways that we donโ€™t even realize or notice, and bodywork allows us to release that built up tension.

5. Spend Time in Nature. Spending time in nature can actually be healthy for you, such as lowering your stress hormone levels. Get outside. Go explore, hit the beach, go hiking. Enjoy hearing the birds and the sound of waterfalls, enjoy our beautiful nature.

6. Eliminate Toxicity. Eliminate your amount of time you spend in negative situations or people that drain or leave you feeling stressed & over the top.

Always surround yourself around care, love, & positive energy.

7. Feed Your Mind. As a human, of course we are here to grow, learn, and elevate. Learning something new becomes interesting for us humans because it keeps our lives going and more interesting.

Try reading a new book, listening to a podcast, or even go to a museum.

8. Get Creative. Use your creative skills and put them to use. We all have a creative side, sometimes some of us just don’t know exactly what it is. When I say creative I don’t necessarily mean you have to be artistically creative. For an example, I like to take pictures, also I like to dress up, so I will dress up and take multiple photos and edit them, that’s part of my creativity gift. I was always told I take nice photos of myself.

This Blog is me opening up, and expressing myself about my life. I am focusing on opening about me more and giving out ๐Ÿ’ฏ my authentic self, pure love & honesty.

Have you had a point in time in your life when you felt that you didn’t have no one? You felt stuck, lost, and just wanted to give up. You just feel a strong pain in your stomach that want leave, and you feel useless and full of worry…

Life can really suck at times, because once you become an adult and your life didn’t turn out how you visioned it when you were 16 or even 18, so you just completely feel like all the dreams, visions, and plans you had was a big waste.

You have all these people thinking your so spoiled, or you just live such a happy life, and your perfectly fine….

Well this is me, I am HER. I have been through so much. Sometimes as much as i try to hide it, it still affects me until this day now. But, I can say i am a lot stronger.

Life can just be a hassle at times. It’s like your fighting yourself to be better and not give up on YOU. But, sometimes it’s something that is trying to pull you back from happiness. It can be for multiple reasons. The energy around you, the way you think on a daily, or just the lifestyle you still live that you know that you need to change it. I honestly feel that has always been my problem, “STICKING TO THE SAME LIFESTYLE.”

Sometimes partying, drinking a lot, dealing with toxic people, can make it hard for better life changes. I didn’t take that into consideration, and i still kind of don’t until this day now. Why?… Because it’s hard to just let people go and i know it can turn into a big mess. But of course my confused self ask myself all the time “Seqouia, why do you even care?”

And of course, I really don’t even have an accurate answer for myself. I feel like my life is based on bunch of confusion. I’m tired of waking up angry, I want to wake up with full of happiness. Although i don’t just wake up mad everyday, but it does happens often.

I had to really sit in have self-talks to figure out what can i do to stop feeling the way i feel. How can i change things without making it my problem to stress about it, and not let it bother me from becoming a better version of me? What can i do to make myself, “SEQOUIA” smile more instead of everyone else?

Sometimes i know feelings within yourself can be temporary just because things aren’t really going right at the time. But honestly, who really wants to even be sometimes “depressed.” 

NOT ME!… AT ALL!!

But anyways, these feelings can’t change on its own right? I would have to be the one to fix these issues. As a human of course we don’t feel it’s that easy. We feel that money can change a lot of stress. And sad to say, it’s true for most people! I am one of those people by the way. I will not sugar coat anything i never do. Once i have money in my presence i am totally fine. I make sure i take pre-cautions when it comes to money though, and i am glad i do. One thing about me, although i love money and i may think of other quick ways to make money i never act on my actions, I continue to keep working my damn ass off and do what i have to do.

Over time which is recently, I say about a total of 5 months ago. A little have changed but a lot more needs to still be fixed. Which i am kind of excited about. I mean can’t no one change over night right? It takes time to become a strong WOMAN/MAN, when you have always been weak 1/2 of your life. I always tell myself it’s okay to cry because soon all these sad tears will be tears of joy. Soon all my worries will be complete. That’s the mindset you have to have. You have to know that no matter how you are feeling today, tomorrow, or even next week, those feelings will go away.

I learned over the last few months to be passionate to myself, and to go with the flow. Over time things will be different. Whoever you second thought about being in your life eventually will drift away, all the finance issues you been having will do a full 360, the way you been living will change, and your struggles will no longer be a struggle any more. Sometimes we have to talk things into existence, and keep a positive mindset. I had to learn the hard way, and i mean the HARD WAY. I had to work on being more positive and grateful that i am living pretty okay, because it’s people out there that don’t have a roof over there head and actually need help.

I know i have a lot of goals i would love to achieve but my main goal is “HAPPINESS.” Being happy is more important to me then anything. Because without happiness your life will never feel complete.

I am glad that lately i have been opening up more about myself so my readers can actually get to know me more. I really post blogs to uplift and motivate others, but now I feel the need to just open more to the world, so people can actually feel they know me through words. I look at anyone who is reading my blogs as a friend. Not a “fan or supporter.” You never know who can relate to your lifestyle, and you never know how many people might actually would love to get to know you and learn you.

Opening up and being your authentic self is always a good look and build trust with others. I can write a book about my life and the things I been & go through. That’s why I am sharing to the world and so thankful for god steering me in the direction of becoming a blogger. Blogging is my reliever, my medicine, my go to, and my happiness.

How I kept Losing myself to finally gaining myself back and keeping it that way

I’m sure a lot of people can relate…

In out through my life, I have lost myself, and gained myself back again. Meaning, I have gave up so many times, then i started to be myself again but better.

I definitely didn’t know why, but i do know a lot of millennials, mid 20’s, and late 20’s, go through different changes. Which i can say that can be part of my transition because i am 28.

A lot of women go through a lot of ” Hormonal imbalances”. Which can affect us mentally, and we begin to have mood swings, and so much more. don’t want to get to personal about it. but my point is that, as a woman we go through so many changes, have to deal with so many personal things, and it’s stressful. BEYOND IT.

Dealing with mental health growing up, really had me losing myself. Not loving myself, not caring for myself, and just putting others before me. People use to ask me, “Why are you looking so angry?” and, i was definitely was intrigued by that question, because i didn’t know why people always ask that and i was always curious why. But i figured it out, I had an automatic mean mug smh….

People said i never had a smile on myself, I always looked angry. And that isn’t good at all. I really started to realize that all around i am wasn’t happy, because people are actually seeing it in my facial expressions. But, truth be told, I didn’t mind it after a while. I was still angry.

I was disappointed within myself. One of the reasons why is because I didn’t graduate on time, not because i didn’t know the work, I just was so stuck into my feelings that i didn’t even knock out 15 credits. Don’t judge me, yes only 15 CREDITS!. That’s all i needed, and I let my pride get the best of me. So, I went to go finish, and I thought i was happy about it and i still wasn’t. I had a kid, and felt that i was to old, and I waited to long to go back. It’s sad that i was ungrateful instead of blessed. Close people around whispered, judged me, and talked about me behind my back because i didn’t graduate on time. And it’s the truth. I knew it, and yes it hurts badly. But, people knew deep down i had an gift, and that behind that angry face it’s a Smart Black Woman. I think people were intimidated by my strong attitude, and no matter how i feel about myself, I was always independent and knew what i was talking about. But i believe people mistaken me to be dumb, because of the “missing 15 credits.” People used that as a weapon against me. So when i decided to go back in finish i did it silently for my own happiness. I knew that this school issue was really one of my weaknesses and one of the reasons why i am not happy.

Dealing with the TOXIC. Toxic played a big part in my life. Arguing with family members, arguing & fighting with my significant other, down talking myself. All that is consider toxic. Not only that it’s toxic, It’s stressful. On top of that, I still was not happy. My level of happiness was up and down.

As I got older, I have realized that i was surrounded around people i shouldn’t surround myself with. I was dealing with people i had no business dealing with. People who do not support you, or want to see you win, is a red flag to NO GOOD! No i am not innocent but growing up remember when your parents always say “Two wrongs don’t make it right!” It’s the truth!

It’s hard to change being around a lot of people who is just like you but worst. And every time you want to change you are dealing with other people negativity, or it’s rubbing off on you. Sometimes you have to stop prolonging these relationships with friends & families or even with your partner, if it’s not bringing any happiness to your life.

I had to realize that life isn’t always suppose to be peaches & cream. At any moment in life you can lose everything, but how will you react to it? Continuously act out on everyone or be strong and move forward. Failure is not an option because it will happen, but you have to understand that.

I started to have insecurities. But that is something i kept to myself for a while. I never showed it, and felt no reason to. It wasn’t that I was insecure in my looks necessarily, but everything else about me I was disappointed in. Instead of complimenting myself I rather compliment others and make them feel good, I really don’t know why, but seeing other people happy always made me feel better. And I been that way for a while until I came to a realization that I need to focus on self-care & self-love. I had to stop loving others more then I loved myself.

When I finally found myself, and figured out who I am and what I want in life I went for it. I decided I wanted to become a blogger & entrepreneur and guess what? I made it happen. I might have ups & downs and things might not made it to where I want it to you, but it’s the principle that I am striving to be the best that I can be and reach my top goal.

Even though I admit all the time, I LOST MYSELF. But, it’s always time to gain your self again. It’s okay if you fell off a little, but pick up where you left and keep going. Can’t no one interfere what you got going on, only if you let them, SO DON’T!

Moral of the story is, I made this blog to uplift and motivate others that you can go through the hardest time in your life and it’s okay. But, don’t let that become an habit. Just get up and work on you, better you, love you, support you, and keep being determined to achieve your goals. Use your past as a way out the hold on on your way to success.

How to Manage your Anxiety

 

    Having anxiety is the most terrifying thing to go through, especially when you are alone. A lot of people don’t know how to cope or manage with the symptoms that comes with this mental health issue. Everyone either reacts the same or a little different with there anxiety but at the end of the day it’s still a disorder that anyone can get at any given time. There are so many ways to manage your anxiety. Here i listed a few tips that might can just help.

      Mindfulness:

       Figure out things that will keep your mind occupied. Be the things that keep you at ease. Focus on self-care and taking care of  YOU in all ways you can. Learn to take and do things more slowly, and try not to be such in a rush through your life too much. 

 

       Routine:

           Create a satisfying routine. Anxiety thrives a persistent worry and fear about your everyday lifestyle. I figured out that coming up with a helpful routine helps eliminate a lot of worry & thoughts. 

 

       Communicate:

  Do not be afraid to discuss your issues dealing with anxiety. A lot of people experience it more than what others think, and suffer from it on different levels. Find some one that will be able to help you justify this issue. Help break the problem so you can be able to help others.

 

        Practice Coping Skills:

Figure out ways you can cope with this mental health issues. What helps you from having episodes? Breathing techniques. Taking a walk. Meditation. Yoga. It’s so many things you can do. Figure it out, and stick to it because once you are able to cope with anxiety, then it will be easier for you to start living a more normal lifestyle, without being in fear on what’s going to happen.

 

        Weekly Schedule:

Try scheduling your week ahead of time. But, make sure you stick to it. Switching up will only makes things worse. When something is triggering you to have anxiety sometimes it can be because your nervous, anxious, worried, tired, and you are just confused and furious on what your week look like. So, on that note creating a schedule will help plan things out better for you.

4 STEPS TO CHANGING YOUR NEGATIVE MINDSET

Focusing on you, and looking for different ways to change your mindset isn’t complicated. We make our own choices, and have our own way of thinking. But sometimes the hard part is figuring out different reasons on why we have the mindset we have today and what can we do to fix that. That was me. I literally thought changing the way i think was going to be super easy, but it wasn’t. But the reason why it wasn’t easy is because i allowed it to be hard. I didn’t try hard enough, I didn’t do my research, I didn’t try to work on the most important issue i have within myself neither. So, once i realized it wasn’t working i stopped moving so fast and took my time out to figure out what was the real issue. Here is steps i did myself to help change my negative mindset.

1. WHERE ARE MY FEELINGS COMING FROM?

This is the first thing you should be asking yourself; where are my feelings of negativity coming from?

Am I going through something?

Are there any changes going on in my life?

Am I keeping up with my health?

Am I taking care of myself?

Itโ€™s important to understand why youโ€™re feeling the way you do. Sometimes, it does seem like these waves of negative emotions come out of nowhere, but thereโ€™s almost always a reason. Itโ€™s not always something thatโ€™s obvious; you might have to dig a little to find out what it really is.

More often than not, that uninvited negativity comes from a place of fear. Ask yourself: am I bringing my past fears into the present and future?

Fear can manifest itself in many different ways.

 

2. WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THE WAY I AM FEELING

There is a lot of things you can do to change the way you are feeling. At times i really was confused, and didn’t really know why i had the feelings i was having. First thing first, you have to work on all the self-doubts. Having self-doubts is actually negative thinking. You have to have hope, you have to believe in yourself and know your worth. These are the things i do to fix all my feelings.

  • Write out the way i’m currently feeling (Journaling)
  • Meditate for 20 mins
  • Take 20 min brief walks
  • Practice mindfulness
  • Focus on trusting in myself

Those are the things i do to fix the way i am feeling. It works for me, especially writing. Writing helps relieve my pain, and release all the thoughts i currently had.

 

3. MOVING FORWARD

Move forward. Don’t take steps backs. Don’t let nothing hold you back from changing your life around. Sometimes you have to leave everything behind you and just find your way from there. Remember everything isn’t always permanent, sometimes somethings are only temporarily.

 

4. STAY CONNECTED WITH POSITIVE PEOPLE

Stay connected with positive people. I don’t about you, but i have no problem connecting with people that is uplifting, motivating, and inspiring. Sometimes when you are having a bad day, it’s good calling someone that will listen to you without no judging. Making an effort to stay connected to a few people or just to a couple, can give you the support you need to feel some temporary relief from negativity.

 

I just honestly feel when you are trying to change your life around, you have to be dedicated. Thinking negative and always focusing on the negative will not help you be positive at all.

You don’t want a negative mindset anymore? Change it! Just go for it. Life isn’t easy, and of course you can’t change over night, but sticking to your plan and knowing that you want to move forward, then do so. Can’t no one stop you from focusing on being a better & wiser you.

 

Three ways how to rock your goals the rest of 2019

Every year will brings changes, challenges, opportunities, growth. But sometimes, some of us get discouraged and lose out. It was a time in my life where i felt that i will never succeed, and although i might not have told no one how i felt, it use to stop me from achieving my goals. But, eventually you will grow out of that stage and not let that stop you from creating your future. That’s what i did. I got tired of always talking down on myself and not understanding “life”, because when you don’t have a understanding on what’s going on you will never move on.

1. WHAT IS IT THATโ€™S HOLDING YOU BACK?

No really, what is holding you back? Figure out what’s holding you back and what’s stopping you from moving forward. You can’t achieve anything still dwelling on the past or what’s currently bothering you. Figure out how to let anything negative or stressful in your life. The problem is that “we live in the past” and of course we refuse to move on. We hold on to the past constantly, and fail to take responsibility for our own lives. But, truth be told we are “all messed up in a way”. Everything can’t be picture perfect and everything can’t go how you want it to be, but how can we succeed without putting in no effort?

We should not let our past stop us from creating the future we always dreamed to have. There are many things you might find yourself feeling guilty about but that don’t mean you feel sorry for yourself, just keep going. The past is the past, and your future starts now.

 

 

2. NO MORE EXCUSES

One thing i can say is that everyone including myself have made excuses. We have to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and also stop trying to figure out why is certain things aren’t going the way we want it to. The only way you will deal with circumstances is if you allow your present to enter into your future, for an example you might not have enough (money, help, or no resources), but you can’t let that be the defining problem. Everything you believe yourself to be is a whole combo of what you’ve been through, things like the way you grew up in your home, or what your family taught you. The way people have treated you, or the things you experienced around you while growing up.

Truth be told, you are strong, because you made it here today. No matter how unfair you feel how your life has been, it was the past. Don’t let how far you have come today stop you from going to where you want to be now. Throw those excuses in the trash, let go of the negative thoughts and chase after what you want, even if you have to take baby steps. If you think about it that is how you are preparing for your future. Small changes can make a big difference. I always been taught to discipline myself. Why? Because discipline is strict. That means you are focused, and you aren’t letting nothing or no body get in the way. It’s all about making a change in your day to day habits & choices. The willingness in changing your old habits to new & better ones is by being consistent.

3. FORGIVING YOURSELF

One problem i had growing up was that i never forgave myself & certain people. I had it bad holding grudges, and not letting go. First off, you have to forgive yourself first. And i did so. You can’t live in the past, because if you do, then you will never accomplish anything. We have to start practicing on self-care, and loving ourselves more, because once you love yourself that means nothing in the past will never even exist in your future. We are unwilling to forgive ourselves, but why? Because we get or get put in certain situations and hate ourselves for it. Sometimes just being human we think everything suppose to be perfect, but everything can’t be picture perfect, and sometimes being a perfectionist will not allow us to understand how it feels to grow from certain situations. For an example, say if 4 years ago you never got lucky with a job because you were being picky so now you beat ourselves up about it, hit rock bottom, and lost all you had, then today you have a $20/hr job, got everything you always wanted, and live in a condo. That feeling of success feels amazing! You can’t keep putting yourself down because the choices you make or made, you have to move on from it, look past it, and keep going.

 

LET ME TELL YOU THIS: YOU WILL FAIL “At some point”

But, you will fail to get up and try again, and again until you make it to your destination in life. Sometimes we are wiser than we think, it’s just sometimes we just lose hope, but starting today DON’T. You have the ability to make your own choices, and to erase any thoughts you are having by forgiving yourself and not letting your past affect you in today’s life.

Spending more time out doors can help relieve stress: FACTS

Being out doors definitely can relieve stress. Some people actually like being boxed up in the house but technically that can increase your mental health symptoms. If you know me you definitely know I love taking walks. I love nature, I love seeing all the greenery & butterflies flying around. Nature is free, so there shouldn’t be no reason why you shouldn’t take time out your day from being a couch potato or in your bed and get some fresh air.

Nature also can help you Function better mentally in a healthier way. Sometimes we have to stop our regular things we do to relieve stress like, playing video games, smoking, drinking, and things like that. If your a book reader, take a book, a little blanket and go to the park and read. Go to the beach and sun bathed get some of that good ole vitamin d, or even just go outside to smell the beautiful flowers. If you notice, most travelers are excited most of the time. Travelers always energized, ready to site see, and always ready to discover other parts of nature they have never been before.

 

Don’t be afraid to step out your comfort zone to try new things, be free & have no worries”

Out door physical activities can help. There is so many physical activities you can do in our environment. Yoga โ€ขjogging โ€ขdance โ€ขmartial arts โ€ขpainting and much more. Sometimes the smallest things can actually help us mentally & physically, we just haven’t figured it out or even thought of other ways to help reduce our stress level. I’m not saying you have to be out doors for us but at least take 15-20 mins out your day. But when you go outside to get some peace, make sure it’s just that. I’m not talking about going to get food, or ice cream, or just errands. I’m talking about actually using out doors as an relief, to get peace, to vibe by your lonesome & hear your thoughts.

I hope this explains how out doors can relieve stress good enough for you. I used every single details listed and it helped me in so many ways. I definitely can say I am more calm, and I stress way less about things I can fix. Of course we need to think about our health, but our mental health is just as important. Take care of yourself and focus on you & your happiness. Don’t be afraid to refresh your mind, body, & soul.

6 things to focus on when you are feeling stuck

I’m sure whoever reading this has a time in life where they felt stuck, and sometimes you end up losing focus on what’s important in life. We have to take time out to start using self-care first. I have had plenty of times where I felt trapped in a box in didn’t know how to get out, but eventually I got out. So that’s why today I will list 6 things to focus on when you are feeling stuck.

LET GO OF YOUR PAST

We tend to hold on to things that are always bothering us, holding on to people that are always hurting us, surrounding our selves around bad energy. It’s time to just focus on the future in leave the past behind. In ordinary to move forward you have to stop going backwards.

TAKE A STEP BACK

I can truly say that taking a break is definitely needed. Give yourself at least one day to just focus on you. Sometimes we don’t understand that we need to take time out to just feel sorry for ourselves meaning to “focus on ourselves” for once. Let out all your frustration, pain, stress, & just cry it out. Basically be expressive without holding anything back. Sit in ask yourself about thing that make you feel stuck, frustrated, confused, or sad. What can you do to work on those feelings? FIND OUT WHAT INSPIRES YOU

Figure out what inspires you. Remember there are millions of ways that you can feel inspired. Find an inspiring book, go on http://www.amazon.com, they have so many inspiring books to read. Listen to a inspirational podcast, or find an inspiring blog. Or inspire yourself. I am going to be honest, I motivate&inspire myself. I’m sure others do to. I will write things down in my journal or record an video in go back to it to use it as inspiration. It’s up to you to be your own inspiration though, it’s called taking time to yourself, realize all the good about you and how you always speak facts when it comes to your life.

 

STEP OUT YOUR COMFORT ZONE

When was the last time you actually did something you always wanted to do but never did it? or Something really fun that made you feel young again or just free & open? Try something new, try something different. This can be away to get you out of “repeating the same things over&over”. Of course it doesn’t have to be anything expensive, or time consuming, just as long as it’s something that will take you out your comfort zone. You get to start noticing different thing about you, like how you are now much braver, bolder, and a little more open to do more things. Doing things you have always been fearful of will only show that your growing. Getting that excitement to your life definitely can help you build a bigger & better personality. It also can help you learn more what life has to offer in see things in a different view now.

FINDING YOUR SELF

Take time out to find yourself, to really know what you want in life. Don’t settle for just anything. Your happiness is what will keep you going. Sometimes we don’t really just sit in figure out who we really are, I know a lot of people let other people judgment reflect on who they are. Remember self care is what will keep you up lifted.

CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE

It comes to a time in life you have to let go of your past. Change your attitude, change all the negative thoughts you been having or still having. By gaining a new perspective, write down the negatives & positives. Scratch out all the negatives and turn them in to positives. Maybe go travel some where to get a clear mind distance yourself from your current situation. Open up to new things & new people. Be around others who might be ahead of you and that are inspiring. All of these changes will help you gain a new perspective on the future and what is possible.

7 ways of changes to improve your life

 

1. BE MORE MINDFULNESS

Learn to take and do things more slowly, and try not to be such in a rush through your life too much. Enjoy your favorite t.v shows, book, or food. Just relax and enjoy your surroundings. Pay more attention to people around you. Live a little, stop being so hard on yourself.

 

2. ORGANIZE +DE-CLUTTER

So when you aren’t organized, and you have things everywhere and not where it suppose to be it can be very overwhelming. Especially if it been a while. Make a plan and pick a perfect day for you to just do a full 360 on your home. Make a list of things that need to be done, and list the rooms in order you gone do first to last. Throw out things that you are holding on to but you don’t have to hold on it, let it go throw it away! Make an effort to do a good clean up more often so you don’t have to go through this as often.

 

 

 

3. BRING OUT YOUR CREATIVE SIDE

We are all creative humans. Being creative doesn’t require knowing how to just paint or draw. You can be creative in having your own style, cooking recipes, make up, or even creating your own product from home. You can find different ways of being creative by simply doing research or surprising yourself with hidden talent you didn’t even know you had until you try something different.

 

 

ย 4. PLAN OUT YOUR MEALS

Planning out and prepping our meals every Sunday for the week ahead makes life SO much easier. I no longer have to wonder what Iโ€™m making for dinner while on my way home from work. Also, when you prep and pack your own lunch youโ€™re less likely to reach for junk food (Which we don’t need), not to mention that it also saves you money. I’m sure it’s someone out there like me need to stop wasting money on eating out and changing up there health. Since i have done that, i spend way less money on food now, which is a blessing. Don’t get me wrong i slip up sometimes, but for most part i am better.

 

 

 

5. MEDITATION

If you are a busy body like me with a packed schedule or suffer from anxiety+depression, a once a day meditation will help you be more calmer, and hopefully may stay that way. I know for me it did. Meditation reduce stress, and give you the ability to not feel so much pressure in your daily lifestyle. I recommend this 100%!.

 

 

 

6. FIND A HOBBY

This is absolutely my favorite topic. Finding a hobby is well worth it i promise. When you figure out something you can do in your spare time, like learning a new skill, sewing some things on your sew machine, or writing a book, you don’t have to focus on the stress in your life. This is how i started blogging, one day i was just surfing the internet and i came across a blog. Then i started doing my research. So then i decided maybe i should give it a try, and BOOM! i did. Now i love it. I love blogging so much i decided to take blogging to the next level and making it more of a business instead of an hobby.

 

 

7. 30 MIN DAILY WALKS

Oh yes! I find myself more productive when i do daily walks, mostly better in the am, but anytime is okay. Even if you don’t do other extra work outs, taking a walk is fine, Get your head phones, and just walk around your neighborhood for some fresh air. A little work out won’t hurt. If you do it everyday you will feel a difference mind/body wise. Even if you grab a friend to come with. Time yourself and make a check list so you can see your progress.

 

 

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Honestly you can’t expect things in your life to change over night, especially if you aren’t pushing for change, You have to be determined to move things forward in life. Don’t never give up on learning and growing, everyday there is something new discovered and it can be relevant knowledge for yourself. HOW TO MAKE TIME FOR THIS THE SEASON

It has been a crazy week for me, preparing for school and dealing with all the late christmas shopping and trying to please my little girl. First off, hope you all enjoyed your holiday! As much as I love this cold season, letโ€™s be honest itโ€™s kind of depressing. Well you know what? not kind of, it is stressful.

My thoughts and emotions have been over the place this past week with trying to type up as much blogs as i can, writing this book, trying to land my first client with http://www.allthingsbysb.com, thinking about my goals for 2019 and what the new year holds for, figuring out new areas of growth for “Theonlyseqouiab” Blogs, and also having to deal with the slacking of not being consistent with building a business.

Personally, I am someone who likes to plan, brainstorm, and do a lot of research. I am very proactive, I even talk out my plans in my head, yeah so what lol! And so when I feel like I donโ€™t have things going right, or feel uncertain about things like the new year.

Iโ€™ve had to repeatedly tell myself that โ€˜girl, it’sย ok,ย justย relaxย andย stayย positive,ย yourย timeย isย coming. Iโ€™ve had to constantly tell myself you canโ€™t have EVERYTHING your WAY! No one does, honestly. You have to keep faith each day. I found it hard with trying to cope with everything i got going on in my life. I always felt it would be helpful to share my thoughts on how to make time out for yourself during the holidays though because i feel it gives a big relief expressing your feelings and someone can be going through the same thing.

Yes, itโ€™s amazing seeing family and friends, going out, having drunks nights, clubs, but sometimes all this can be overwhelming and completely stressing. You donโ€™t want to look back at this time and wish you made out more time for yourself and backtrack when you will need time to rest, time to reflect, time to sit in think out on what this past year has been like for you.

So, with that being said, here are some ways to make out time for yourself this season!

 

1. PLAN OUT YOUR TIME

The first thing I would suggest is planning out your week ahead of time. Write down everything you need to take care of in your planner and the day it needs to be done by. First thing first, don’t forget about giving yourself time. You could treat yourself or just spend quality time doing what you love. It could be a couple of days or half a day. But, make sure you are doing this regularly though, youโ€™ll be overly thrilled by the results.

#2: LEARN TO STOP ALWAYS SAYING YES

For me honestly it’s hard to say no, and i mean its hard! But sometimes, youโ€™ve got be selfish with your time and patience. It come to a time when you need to put yourself first. Thereโ€™s only so much you can give to others . If you are not feeling something, you donโ€™t have to do it! Don’t force yourself to do things you don’t have no time for. Can’t make it for a birthday party? not your fault. Don’t have the funds to go out to an event with your friends? Not your fault! Use this time to evaluate and rethink about everything that you been dealing with and be ready to throw it all in the past!

#3: LIFE CLEANSE!

YES! I said it, life cleanse. What i mean by this you need to cut away everything that distracts you, stressing you out, pressure, and whatever else that is giving you a big headache right now. Ok for an example, Social media. Social media can be very good for your sources and yes that is where the money is at, but sometimes you need a break! We don’t realize how much we are addicted to social media and we need to take time to just put down our phones and let it just be in it’s on world sometimes. Relationships: Boy! can i tell you, that sometimes a relationship can be a distraction when it’s not on good terms. Well if you need to take time out to take a small break like a 2 day vacation just to focus on you do it! that don’t mean you have to break up but sometimes being to yourself for a while is needed. Your phone it self also can be tiresome, sometimes we tend to text a lot, and sit and stare on our phone even when it’s dry. It’s okay to sit your phone down for a couple hours just to read or take a quick 2 hour nap, remember your health is more important. So, treat your health like you should. I know we like to constantly update the world with our news but sometimes, we have to ask ourselves if it is necessary; we have to check our motives and priorities.

Mental health counseling works to!

Hey everyone, hope you all are having a productive and stress free week so far, if not then i also hope this post might can help someone out there.

So some of us usually think that going to therapy can always solve our problems with mental health. Well, yes therapy is good, but if you don’t want to do therapy because it might make you feel uncomfortable or for any other reasons, then counseling is definitely the right choice. Therapy and counseling are two different kind of help. Here is the meaning below of counseling.

Counseling meaning: advice; opinion or instruction given in directing the judgment or conduct of another

          COUNSELING IS MORE CONVENIENT

Most of us is always busy, either with a 9-5, starting your own business, in college, or whatever you are currently building for your future. For some reason, it’s just always something going on. but…. we can’t complain, because this is the life we live in, right? Well on the other hand that is why most people ignore the fact that they are stressed, depressed, and neglecting the simple fact that they need help and on top of that it’s kind of hard seeking therapy when you are forever busy, that is why i definitely feel that it’s more alternative to consider counseling.

You can go to a counseling group class, or to a direct counselor in person or even online for a two week or three week session, possibly a little more, just to get yourself prepared and better. Counseling is basically the first step, but if your counseling don’t get you better, then that’s when they will refer you to a therapist.

The main serious thing is that you are doing something about it and you aren’t giving up on yourself. You are making a way to get the help you need. What i have realized over the years is that mental health is a struggle, and it is also a battle you have to continue to overcome. Don’t let it grow it to something else.

Ask yourself questions. How are you feeling? What is bothering you the most? What is the next step to get through this? 

Whenever you see a sign of any kind of mental health issues then talk to someone asap. You aren’t alone at all, it’s over millions of people just like you, me, and whoever else that is suffering from mental health issues. It’s nothing to be ashamed about. You can look up different online counseling programs for those who can’t meet up with an counselor.

Your mental health is important. There is so many beautiful people out there that have got so overwhelmed they bodies are still here but mentally they aren’t, and it sucks. You can tell the difference, you can see that happiness isn’t there, you can see that some people have gave up and didn’t fight. Don’t let that be you. We have to encourage one another to keep going and to keep fighting. Everyone needs that helping hand. If counseling doesn’t help then try another method that is close to counseling or look online for others, I am sure that it is someone out there that can really give you good advice, and give you strong words that might just help you push through.
